Virginia Kagoro, Pastor
Virginia Kagoro was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She has a passion of reaching out to others and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Scripture she holds onto is Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Virginia served as the pastor of the New Beginnings Charge namely, Locust Bluff United Methodist Church in Prattville, Alabama and St. Luke United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama in 2015-2017. Prior to New Beginnings Charge, she served as pastor at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church for one year.
She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky and a Masters of Divinity from Interdenominational Theological Center and Gammon Theological Seminary, Atlanta, Georgia.
Virginia and her husband Geoffrey have been married for 32 years and have three children.

Tanya Murphy, Children's Director
Tanya is a homeschooling mother of two boys, 12 and 10. She has been married for 16 years to her wonderful husband, Joseph. Tanya is the co-founder of the Alabama Angels Pageant, a pageant for special needs individuals with a diagnosed, mental or physical impairment.
She has worked in children’s ministry for 10 years, before being hired at River City UMC. Tanya has a heart for the Lord and receives great joy from sharing the good news with children. Her goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning, using fun and innovative ways to connect kids with Christ, through authentic worship.
